Kane achieves his 100th goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has declared that his enthusiasm in returning to the Premier League has lessened and he is willing to explore a new deal with Bayern Munich.
The accomplished striker is currently midway through the four-year deal he signed when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for 86.4 million pounds in the offseason of 2023.
The 32-year-old forward has accumulated an outstanding 103 goals in 106 matches for the German side, helping them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga title - which was the initial significant trophy of his distinguished career.
Tottenham boss Thomas Frank has earlier expressed that he would welcome to see Kane return to England, where he requires 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring feat of 260.
However, the England skipper has now suggested that he is no longer as keen about returning home as he earlier was, and would certainly think about lengthening his tenure in Bavaria.
"In terms of staying longer, I could definitely see that," he stated.
"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be open to talk and have an straightforward conversation.
"Obviously it hinges on how the next year or so unfolds and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a fantastic moment and I am not considering about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has gone down a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have discovered in my career is that different chances and different timings happen and things fall in place. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."
Milestone Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the all-time top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the quickest player this century to reach 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five competitions, reaching the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a honor had avoided him until he won the German title last season.
Kane states that he was not sure how he would feel after overcoming his trophy barren spell, but now thinks it has made him hungry for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.
"But it's given me more motivation to do more and be better. I think I've demonstrated that this year.
"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I pushed myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
